Instituted by Royal Warrant in 1965, The King's Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious business award in the United Kingdom, with recipients recognised as being amongst the best of British businesses.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise were previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, and the new name reflects His Majesty King Charles III’s desire to continue the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme is now in its 57th year and it has awarded over 7,000 companies since its inception.

The Best Of British

It is with great pride that Molly Brown London has been recognised by His Majesty King Charles III in the International Trade category. This follows a rigorous selection process which considered the development of Molly Brown London’s international export markets over a three year period.

Minister for Enterprise Kevin Hollinrake said,
“I congratulate the first ever recipients of The King’s Awards for Enterprise, who exemplify the talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of British business.I wish them every success and commend the invaluable contributions they make to communities both at home and overseas, helping to grow the UK economy.”

Recipients of The King’s Award are permitted to fly The King’s Awards flag at their main office and use the emblem on their marketing materials. Recipients are also given a Grant of Appointment (an official certificate) and a commemorative crystal trophy, presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.

How did Molly Brown London win this Royal Award?

The application process and the assessment of the brand took nine months. The judges were given an in-depth analysis of the business and all aspects of the brand’s international trading were reviewed since the brand started its international expansion journey in 2017. As the UK’s leading childrens jewellery brand, we were able to build on the strong foundations and reputation the brand has in the UK and appeal to new international markets. Our reputation has been built on the fact that only the best materials are used when creating the collections and whilst this might make some of our jewellery a little more expensive, we believe that customers buying for a precious child want to buy a quality piece of jewellery that will last and always hold her memories.

Molly Brown London’s reputation has now significantly grown in the USA, Europe and Australia as well as other countries. Our website allows our international customers to shop in their own currencies and check out in their own language. More than 100 currencies and 150 local payment cards are supported in the checkout and we offer Free Standard Global delivery. In 2021, 31% of our total sales were international and we are delighted to see this growth continuing year on year.
