CMJ link up to double Molly Brown turnover

Children's jewellery brand Molly Brown is expecting to double its turnover after being taken on by buying group the Company of master Jeweller (CMJ). Molly Brown's Collections have been accepted by 24 new UK stores as a result of the deal, and it has received notes of interest from a further 13 shops, which it expects to convert into stockists.
Molly Brown director Erica Illingworth said: "These are all high-quality, long-established independent jewellers stocking premier brands, so as you can imagine we are pretty pleased with the results."
The new stockists were signed at a single CMJ buyers meeting, the brand's first. Molly Brown plans to introduce its Aurora christening range at the next meeting in August and Illingworth said she expects the event to be even more successful for the business.
Illingworth said: "The support from the management team at the CMJ was fantastic and we certainly benefited from endorsements from senior executives, most of whom have their own stores and took our collections on."
